Product End of Life Notice
RAM OMIS and ONYX Family Of Systems
RAM Optical Instrumentation systems and software have gone through many evolutionary cycles throughout the life of the company. RAM has attained a leadership position with our current products in the areas of reliability, accuracy and measuring capabilities. Our products continue to evolve to bring the latest technologies to the world marketplace.
A large number of legacy RAM OMIS and ONYX systems are still in service, having operated successfully for more than 30 years. We take pride in our ability to provide customers the support that has enabled these systems to continue providing the level of capability our customers are accustomed to.
However, the MS-DOS operating system software used in these legacy systems has been obsolete since the early 1990's and computers that operate with it are no longer available in the marketplace. We are no longer able to manufacture or obtain critical parts such as compatible cameras, optics, and electronic boards for these legacy systems.
Therefore, effective immediately we must reduce our service support for the following OMIS and ONYX legacy products.
Systems: OMIS, OMIS MINI, OMIS I, OMIS II, OMIS II MICRO, OMIS III, ONYX
Software: AUTOMAP and GALAXY
If your legacy system is operational, we will continue to provide calibration and preventative maintenance services through our partner company, Quality Vision Services.
RAM will offer a trade in credit for any OMIS or ONYX system listed above towards the purchase of a new RAM system. Please contact your local distributor for additional information.
